About the Role
We are seeking a Social Media Executive to join our Agency team for motorsport. This role involves planning and executing video content across various social media platforms, requiring a passion for storytelling and a strong editorial eye. The ideal candidate will be confident in sharing ideas and understanding platform nuances, working closely with clients and the team.
Responsibilities
- Ideate, plan, brief and publish social content (written, graphic, video) across a range of platforms (predominantly X, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Facebook)
- Write copy specifically for social media, taking into account the brand tone-of-voice, platform tone-of-voice, and platform best practices
- Work proactively and reactively to plan and post content to social channels across race weekends, including across live racing sessions as editorial storylines unfold
- Management of long and short-term content plans in collaboration with the wider agency and client team, planning proactively and reacting to editorial developments quickly
- Be an expert in motorsport and bring that knowledge to the team every day across all activity
- Be a constant source of fresh, creative ideas and be confident in sharing those ideas with colleagues
- Feed into the briefing process with editors and designers to create assets
- Attend client meetings and calls to provide platform specific expertise
- Feed into the reporting process to provide qualitative insight alongside quantitative data
Requirements
- Excellent understanding of social media platforms, teamed with a knowledge of motorsports
- Experience in managing content schedules, including responsibility for both long-term and short-term content planning, with proactive planning and quick responsiveness
- Creative ideation and strong ability to craft engaging social media copy
- Demonstrable knowledge and enthusiasm for motorsport
- Contributing to the briefing process and providing feedback for asset creation
- Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a larger team
- A proactive, positive attitude with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on finding solutions
- Regular attendance at the LDS office in London
- Weekend and out-of-hours work across race weekends will be required
