About the Role
This role is responsible for building relationships and identifying new sales leads via agents, venue finders, and event management companies, in line with the UK and global strategy. The role requires cross-selling of both Convene and etc.venues brands.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage a portfolio of preferred agency partners, driving wallet share growth across the Convene and etc.venues portfolio.
- Maintain preferred agency agreements, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and satisfaction.
- Develop and execute account growth plans to proactively grow revenue and increase conversion.
- Research and target new agency relationships to supplement the preferred portfolio.
- Identify opportunities and qualify sales leads from agencies for account expansion, cross selling and strategic partnerships.
- Act as a trusted advisor for agencies and resolve escalated client issues.
- Serve as CHG’s strategic Lead contact for agency association memberships.
- Maintain regular, targeted marketing communications with agency partners and prospects.
- Own internal communication and organisation of all agency agreements, commercial deliverables and account activity.
- Assist with and participate in corporate hospitality and promotional activities.
- Use Hubspot for daily targeted outreach and maintain data accuracy.
- Adhere to CHG's sales processes and guidelines.
- Undertake reasonable ad hoc requests as directed.
- Maintain accurate account data for preferred agency accounts in ConveneOS.
- Assist with the preparation of statistical data, information, and management reporting relating to sales.
- Adhere to the company's credit control and T&C guidelines.
- Be aware of CHG's purchasing policies and guidelines.
- Maintain awareness of competitor activity and market pricing.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years experience working directly with agencies in a proactive approach.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust, deepen partnerships, and grow revenue through long-term account management.
- Strong presentation skills, confident and compelling when delivering to agency partners.
- Track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
- Rigorous approach to data accuracy.
- Commercially astute with strong financial awareness.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage a portfolio of accounts, prioritise effectively, and work across multiple venues and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within the meetings, events, or hospitality sector is desirable.
- Knowledge of the UK agency and venue-finding landscape is a strong advantage.
