About the Role

Join UW's Data team as a Data Scientist to build predictive engines that directly drive customer strategy, focusing on Next Best Action (NBA), Customer Segmentation, and Churn Propensity models. You will own xLTV and ROI modelling, working closely with product and engineering teams to operationalize insights and manage the end-to-end ML lifecycle from POC to production deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy robust ML models for Churn Propensity and Next Best Action (NBA) engines.
  • Develop advanced Customer Segmentation using clustering techniques.
  • Own xLTV and ROI logic, modeling long-term customer value.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to productionize scalable models and ensure continuous monitoring.
  • Design and analyze A/B tests to validate model effectiveness.
  • Translate complex statistical outputs into actionable insights for stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven Data Science experience within a retail, B2C subscription or utilities environment.
  • Strong ML knowledge (Regression, Classification, Clustering, Time-series).
  • Expertise in Churn and Propensity modeling is essential.
  • Expert-level Python (pandas, scikit-learn) and advanced SQL for complex feature engineering.
  • Ability to link technical metrics to business KPIs.
  • Strong data storytelling skills to explain 'black box' models to business leaders.
