About the Role

Seeking a Household Manager & Family Assistant to provide support for a warm, active family with three school-aged children and two dogs. This role is crucial for bringing calm, efficiency, and warmth to the household, allowing the family to focus on what matters most. Responsibilities

  • Provide daily school pickup and transportation to evening activities and extracurricular practices.
  • Supervise and engage with children during afterschool hours.
  • Support with scheduling and communication for school events, birthday parties, and extracurricular activities.
  • Plan and prepare 2-3 dinners per week.
  • Perform grocery shopping for specific meal items and household errands.
  • Handle kitchen cleanup and organization.
  • Wash, fold, and put away laundry for the family and assist children with putting clothes away.
  • Handle occasional dry cleaning drop-off and pickup.
  • Maintain and stock laundry areas.
  • Perform daily tidying, dishwasher loading/unloading, and light vacuuming to reset the home.
  • Organize high-traffic areas, including the mudroom.
  • Prepare the home for the weekly cleaning service.
  • Support event and holiday hosting preparations.
  • Manage seasonal clothing swaps and donation preparations.
  • Perform occasional refrigerator clean-outs and expiration management.
  • Manage household supplies, toiletries, and pantry stock.
  • Coordinate Amazon and Costco subscription orders.
  • Handle returns to USPS, UPS, and FedEx.
  • Perform birthday gift shopping for children's parties.
  • Provide daily 30-minute walks or active playtime with family dogs.
  • Maintain fresh water for dogs throughout the day.
  • Transport dogs to daycare as needed.
  • Schedule grooming appointments for dogs.
  • Clean and maintain dog bowls.
  • Maintain the family calendar and track commitments.
  • Monitor and manage school communications and party invitations.
  • Coordinate vendor and contractor scheduling.
  • Schedule maintenance and track registration for family vehicles.
  • Coordinate service appointments for vehicles.
  • Prepare outdoor patio and kitchen for hosting events.
  • Undertake seasonal organization projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Maintain a smoke-free environment.
  • Possess reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Background check required.
