About the Role

The Health Economics and Decision Sciences (HEDS) department supports decision-making across product discovery, development, and delivery by applying quantitative scientific methods. This role focuses on supporting local markets with health economic model adaptations, collaborating with global/regional teams, and supporting operational and strategic tasks for the Regional HEDS Executive Director.

Responsibilities

  • Support local markets for local adaptation of global Health Economics Models in Asia-Pacific (AP), Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa (EEMEA), Latin America (LATAM) and Mid-Europe Region (MER).
  • Collaborate with global/regional teams and local markets, including Market Access, Outcomes Research, Value & Implementation, and Global Health Economics leads.
  • Support planning, delivery, communication, and change management for a global multi-functional adoption of a platform for health economic modeling in oncology.
  • Support the Regional HEDS Executive Director with operational and strategic tasks.
  • Adapt health economic models for markets under the guidance of the Executive Director and Regional HEDS leads.
  • Plan health economic model adaptation needs with local and regional Market Access/Outcomes Research/Value & Implementation teams.
  • Align on market and product-specific health economic strategies and model inputs with local, regional, and HQ teams.
  • Conduct or supervise the execution of health economic model adaptations, ensuring quality.
  • Ensure qualification and training of local suppliers or internal staff for model adaptation when applicable.
  • Critically review model inputs, calculations, and outputs of local health economic analysis.
  • Assist local and regional Outcomes Research and Market Access colleagues in answering questions from HTA bodies/decision makers.
  • Coordinate and align with internal stakeholders for consistent, high-quality, and timely model adaptations and submissions.
  • Provide guidance to improve efficiency in all phases of health economic model adaptations.
  • Provide input to the THEOREM team on new feature requests.
  • Complete User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for features introduced in THEOREM releases.
  • Assist with THEOREM user questions specific to model calculations and logic functions.
  • Help the THEOREM team triage and address incoming questions, new requests, feature requirements, and user support needs.
  • Coordinate health economic modeling activities across 4 regions to ensure consistency and share learnings.
  • Communicate HEDS Regional impact to senior management/other stakeholders through preparation of slide decks and newsletters.
  • Assist with HEDS 2030 strategy.
  • Assist with HEDS digital strategy.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience (for Master’s degree)/3 years of experience (for PhD) in health economics and modeling working for a Pharma company or in an external supplier.
  • Experience submitting health economic models to HTA bodies, decision makers in the covered region, and understanding of their requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a strong collaborative mindset.
  • Strong Leadership skills, with experience in managing resources, budget, and driving implementation.
  • Fluency in English.

  • $156,900.00 - $247,000.00
