About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, ambitious, non-profit organisation at a formative time in its development. As a Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in taking forward our mission – managing the delivery of open-source research projects and ensuring the right processes and resources are in place to deliver efficiently, on time, within budget and to a high standard. Working within a young and developing organisation, you’ll need to be a flexible and collaborative team player, willing to pitch in and multi-task across different projects and work at pace to often tight timeframes. Responsibilities

Manage the delivery of open-source research projects.
Ensure projects are managed to budget and quality, deadlines are met, and strong collaborative relationships are built with clients and wider stakeholders.
Develop research plans and define deliverables.
Establish effective project management arrangements and quality assurance procedures.
Track project progress and rapidly identify and resolve issues impeding delivery.
Develop strong relationships with CIR colleagues, consultants, and partner organisations to produce high-quality outputs and achieve desired outcomes.
Work with open-source investigators and remote sensing experts to develop innovative technical solutions that enhance data collection, verification and analysis.
Ensure the project’s activities and impact are accurately measured and recorded.
Coordinate identification, assessment and management of risk across the project.
Develop financial forecasts, oversee expenditures, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with CIR’s corporate policies relating to data protection, cyber security, anti-corruption, safeguarding, conflict sensitivity, and CIR’s Code of Conduct.

Requirements

Proven track record of successfully delivering projects to deadline, within budget and with evidenced measurable impact.
Substantial experience of implementing projects funded by the UK government and knowledge of associated policies, regulations and operating procedures.
Strong understanding of project planning, financial management, impact reporting and risk mitigation.
Experience managing and motivating interdisciplinary and multi-national teams.
Experience building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders including donors, beneficiaries and partner organisations.
Fluency in English.
Ability to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance is required for one of the roles.
