About the Role

As a Partner on our service counters, you will demonstrate your knowledge and passion for food, feeling proud of its ethical sourcing and recommending recipes to customers. You will actively bring our ethos to life, using enthusiasm and friendliness to build lasting customer relationships, maximize sales, and profit. Any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract Night Premium at a rate of £3.75 per hour.

Responsibilities

Take responsibility for your own food counter ensuring the highest presentation and hygiene standards at all times.
Stay on top of stock levels, ensuring products are available when needed.
Take great care while working with open food and ensure all due diligence and health & safety protocols are followed.
Reduce food wastage.
Maintain knowledge of new products and have a good understanding of Waitrose's food values.
Support the wider shop team when required with general shopkeeping tasks.

Requirements

Must be able to work at the specified locations.
Must provide accurate working hours availability.
Must apply for only one vacancy.
Pre-employment vetting may be required (including DBS checks for successful candidates).
Financial probity checks may be required for some roles.

Skills

Communication skills to work effectively as part of a team and with customers.
Experience of working in a customer facing role is welcomed.
Experience of working in a catering / hospitality environment.
Up to date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
Flexible approach to ensure the support of the whole branch.
