About the Role

Contribute to academic excellence and strategic development at Gisma University of Applied Sciences through high-quality teaching, impactful research, and community participation. Shape and deliver innovative programmes in HR Analytics, Strategic Talent Management, and Work Innovation, integrating data-driven workforce planning, digital employee experience platforms, and organizational network analysis. Engage with an international student body, collaborate with partners, and influence HR education in a quantitative, technological environment.

Responsibilities

  • Module responsibility and teaching of Bachelor and Master programmes in People Analytics, Strategic Human Resource Management, HR Technology & Innovation, Workplace Transformation, and data-driven workforce planning.
  • Conducting examinations, assessments, and student supervision.
  • Active participation in programme development, quality assurance, and curriculum integration of applied tools and methodologies.
  • Design and update contemporary teaching and learning materials.
  • Initiate, expand, and maintain cooperation with industry and research partners, including HR tech startups, corporate people operations teams, consultancies, and workforce analytics providers.
  • Participation in national and international accreditation procedures.
  • Active engagement in academic administration and committee work.
  • Develop a personal and institutional research profile in People Analytics Impact, Strategic HR Innovation, Digital Transformation of Work, or Organizational Network Analysis.
  • Publish research results in high-quality journals and engage in public dissemination.
  • Support outreach activities, including student recruitment events and promotion of business study pathways.

Requirements

  • Fulfil all requirements according to Section 41 ff of the Brandenburg Higher Education Act (BbgHG).
  • Completed university studies in Human Resource Management, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Business Analytics with an HR focus, or Sociology with a quantitative work focus.
  • Proof of extraordinary qualification for scientific work via an outstanding doctorate and/or strong record of high-impact, peer-reviewed publications.
  • Minimum of three years of qualified professional experience, with at least two years outside a university environment, gained after a master's degree or equivalent.
  • Proven university-level teaching experience with competence in blended, online, and interactive learning methodologies.
  • Excellent pedagogical aptitude as reflected in student evaluations.
  • Strong affinity for cutting-edge methodologies, software, and tools related to HRIS, data analytics visualization tools (e.g., Tableau/PowerBI for HR), and workforce modeling software.
  • Fluency in English for teaching and research purposes.
  • International academic or industry experience is highly valued.
  • Publication record in fields matching the professorship scope or relevant digital ecosystems.
  • Experience in developing and leading research projects, ideally with success in acquiring third-party funding.
  • Innovative perspectives for advancing research and curriculum in the specified professorship domain.
  • Experience in curriculum development and accreditation processes is an asset.
