About the Role

Join our innovative Payments Operations team, where you'll lead the charge in executing end-to-end payments. As a key player, you'll support cutting-edge digital platform solutions for diverse payment types. This role demands a keen eye for detail to ensure timely and accurate execution, along with a proactive mindset to drive efficiency and stay ahead in the rapidly evolving Real-Time Payments (RTP) market. Responsibilities

  • Review the overall status of payments, including volume, repair cases, exceptions, cancellations, amendments, and roll-overs.
  • Handle pending and queued items in payment systems that are not straight-through processing (STP).
  • Monitor email and SWIFT inquiries from customers and counterparties.
  • Collaborate with client service, Products, Global Corporate Center, and Operations Managers to address non-STP payments and inquiries.
  • Partner with Technology and Product teams to enhance system controls and boost capacity.
  • Process and operate tasks for Payment/Deposit Ops.
  • Communicate with Hub Operations in a timely manner to complete daily operations.
  • Resolve typical inquiries/issues from external/internal clients and act as a preliminary escalation point for process matters.
  • Prepare regulatory reports with Manager for review.
  • Manage projects to support new product on-boarding in a supervisory role.
  • Participate in and support various system tests for system/business driven projects.

Requirements

  • Effective communication skill in Japanese and English at a business level.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Control mindset to process daily operations complying with corporate policies and regulations.
  • Ability to manage issues and escalations from team members and work with Managers to plan corrective and preventive measures.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks independently.
