About the Role
As a Sector Lead (Energy & Industrials) on our Directed Content team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring AlphaSense delivers the highest-quality proprietary research content within your assigned sector. You will oversee the day-to-day execution of Directed Content projects, ensuring all work meets the firm’s standards for quality, relevance, and end-user value delivery. Your responsibilities will span project setup, expert sourcing guidance, transcript quality assurance, budget oversight, and performance management. You will also serve as a key stakeholder in developing and optimizing project workflows, implementing structured QA and feedback loops, and partnering with Product and Operations teams to pilot new AI-enabled tools that elevate both efficiency and insight quality.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Director of Research to develop and maintain a strategic sector roadmap, translating it into a structured execution plan.
- Manage and mentor a team of Project Managers, setting clear goals, tracking KPIs, and ensuring accountability.
- Collaborate with Operations Managers to align operational KPIs with coverage strategy and optimize execution.
- Own expert budget management for your sector, allocating resources effectively.
- Oversee a structured QA process for ensuring transcripts meet high standards for data accuracy, relevance, structure, and analytical depth.
- Collaborate with the Director of Research and Content Strategy Analyst to monitor engagement data and identify coverage gaps.
- Identify and shape content to support revenue-generating efforts such as white papers, webinars, and presentations.
- Establish and maintain feedback loops with call takers and project teams to enhance content quality.
- Collaborate with North America directed content teams to ensure high-quality output and consistency.
- Partner with Operations and Product teams to pilot and optimize AI-enabled tools.
- Maintain deep familiarity with ongoing developments within the Energy & Industrials sector, proactively surfacing new themes and companies.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in equity research, market intelligence, consulting, or a related analytical role within Energy & Industrials (E&I).
- Deep domain expertise in Energy & Industrials (E&I) with a strong grasp of key players, business models, and industry trends.
- Strong understanding of European and Asian equity markets.
- Proven people management experience, successfully leading, mentoring, and developing teams.
- Skilled at translating strategic objectives into actionable research projects.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong command of project economics, capable of managing budgets, optimizing expert costs, and tracking ROI.
- Adept at working cross-functionally with Directors of Research, Go-to-Market, Product, and Compliance.
- Intellectually curious, client-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong understanding of compliance, MNPI, and confidentiality standards.
