About the Role

As a Float Educator, you will work across all age groups, supporting children and educators while delivering a high-quality, inclusive program. Enjoy variety in your day, develop your skills, and be part of a supportive team at our centre, just a 10-minute walk from Redfern Railway Station.

Responsibilities

  • Build nurturing, positive relationships with children and support their emotional wellbeing
  • Guide positive behaviour and encourage children’s independence and decision-making
  • Create engaging, inclusive environments that support all areas of development
  • Support daily routines, including meals, toileting, and responding to individual needs
  • Assist with observing, documenting, and supporting children’s learning and healthy habits

Requirements

  • A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Demonstrated understanding of the National Quality Standards
  • Working with Children Check and current Senior First Aid qualification
  • Sound understanding of the development of children, their health, hygiene and nutritional needs
  • Child protection training and commitment to child safety

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration
