About the Role

As a successful peripheral product manager at Qualcomm, you will help define the next generation of interfaces requirements for Qualcomm's family of chipsets, ranging from personal wearable, mobile, compute, automotive to data center, AI accelerators. You will play a key role in engaging with industry technology partners driving the standard and product directions, and with top tier customers to define new products’ needs and promote existing ones. Occasional travel is required. Successful candidates can think strategically, communicate effectively, and will have a proven track record of being able to execute efficiently. As a team player, one should have the innate ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing needs and working with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product strategy for Qualcomm peripheral roadmap, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and market needs from planning to tactical activities.
  • Collaborate with HW and SW engineering teams to translate product strategy into detailed requirements and align on the priorities.
  • Help drive the product alignment with other technical teams, such as display, camera and sensor, etc.
  • Communicate peripheral product plans, benefits, and challenges to a variety of internal and external audiences with the right levels of details.
  • Work with OEMs/ODMs, chipset product managers to understand product requirements, define key IP changes needed, and drive IP roadmap.
  • Collaborate with ecosystem partners, including peripheral vendors to identify the opportunities to bring in their solutions onto Qualcomm platforms and OS partners to align on the software enablement plans.
  • Monitor standard activities to understand the latest development across various standard bodies in partnerships with Qualcomm standard organization and contribute if needed to help ensure the direction benefit product roadmap.
  • Contribute to the peripheral technology, product, and platform strategy by supporting the various business units within Qualcomm.
  • Stay up to date on competitive analysis of interface technologies, identify gaps and opportunities and feed back to roadmap requirements to drive a competitive and differentiated roadmap.

Requirements

  • Experience in productizing interface technologies.
  • Experience working with various product lines, such as automotive, mobile, XR, etc.
  • Experience in go-to-market strategies.
  • Execution oriented and track record of driving on time deliverables to customers with aggressive schedules.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Skills

  • high speed interfaces such as USB, PCIe, MIPI, Ethernet, die to die interconnect
  • low speed interfaces, such as I2C and SPI

Experience Level

  • 5+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
  • 10+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
  • 3+ years of working in a large matrixed organization.
  • 2+ years of working with operating budgets and/or project financials.
  • 2+ years of negotiating 3rd party business agreements.

Education Level

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.

Salary/Compensations

  • $179,200.00 - $268,800.00
