About the Role
Responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of assigned facilities, ensuring services such as janitorial, engineering, life-safety, and site services are delivered in line with Cushman & Wakefield policies and client requirements. The role supports contract management, budgeting, compliance, vendor coordination, and reporting, while proactively maintaining facility standards, safety, and operational efficiency under the direction of the Facility Manager.
Responsibilities
- Ensure day-to-day facility operations, including janitorial, life-safety, engineering, site services, and general maintenance, align with company policies and client directives.
- Review contracts regularly, manage bidding processes, and confirm invoice accuracy against contract pricing.
- Supervise all maintenance programs for property interior and exterior conditions.
- Respond promptly to building maintenance, repair, and cleaning requests from occupants.
- Compile site-specific documentation and reports accurately and on time, including Property Information Book, Site Operating Manual, Emergency Procedures Manual, and various compliance and operational logs.
- Prepare budgets, financial reports (monthly and quarterly), contracts, expenditures, and purchase orders for facilities.
- Assist in providing information and reports for capital budget development, including a five-year plan for maintenance, facility improvement, and cost reduction.
- Collect, analyze, and prepare statistical data for facility management objectives.
- Maintain thorough familiarity with management contracts, vendor agreements, and building/facility contracts.
- Monitor and ensure tenant and vendor compliance with insurance requirements, coordinating claims as needed.
- Proactively inspect facilities, systems, rooms, and common areas, reporting findings to the Facility Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, building, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in commercial or industrial real estate with facility management.
- Experience in maintenance, construction, engineering, and all facets of property operation and building management preferred.
- CMMS/Work Order Management experience preferred.
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM), International Facilities Management Association (IFMA), or Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) industry certifications recommended.
- Other Engineering, Business, or technical training or certifications a plus.
- Ability to read and understand construction specifications and blueprints.
- Proficiency in understanding management agreements and contract language.

- Building Management Systems maintenance and monitoring
- Computer and systems knowledge
- Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) literacy
- Financial management, including financial tracking, budgeting, and forecasting
- Knowledge of Financial Systems (Yardi a plus)
