About the Role

Circle is looking for a Senior Analyst, AML Know Your Customer to join its Compliance Operations team. This role is responsible for conducting detailed periodic reviews and projects within the KYC Team, managing the end-to-end KYC periodic review process, including collection, documentation, due diligence, analysis, and escalation of customers.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing higher and high risk client relationships to ensure customer due diligence is complete and accurate, meeting specialized and enhanced due diligence requirements.
• Critically examining customer profile changes and documentation for material changes in risk factors and red flags during periodic reviews.
• Updating internal records to enrich customer KYC files.
• Ensuring the customer's nature of business aligns with their business models and profiles.
• Escalating and drafting executive-level risk acceptance memos for customers with red flags and higher risk attributes, summarizing findings and next steps.
• Collaborating with Customer Service and Relationship Managers to obtain necessary documentation for KYC due diligence.
• Partnering with team leads to facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Monitoring industry trends related to money laundering or fraud schemes, including detection and reporting of suspicious activity.
• Performing general administration and ancillary activities as required.

Requirements

• B.A./B.S. degree; quantitative or technical degree a plus.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in AML and KYC reviews for corporates.
• 2 years of experience in crypto, preferably in ongoing monitoring of higher and high risk customers.
• Detail-oriented, highly analytical, and comfortable digging into data.
• Strong communication skills and presence, ability to interface with internal and external teams.
• Experience working collaboratively and effectively with multiple stakeholders and internal teams.
• Appreciate direct communication.
• Experience and comfort working in an ever-changing industry with flexibility to react to changing demands.
• Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS and GSuite.
