About the Role
RBC Capital Markets is seeking undergraduate students for our Corporate Banking Summer Internship Program in Sydney. This program offers opportunities and professional development to kickstart a finance career within a premier investment bank known for its financial strength and global reach.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Corporate Banking team in the origination, structuring, execution, administration, and portfolio management of credit facilities and M&A-related financings.
- Participate in the due diligence process by analyzing company filings, financial statements, diligence reports, and equity/credit research.
- Attend management presentations and diligence calls.
- Assist with the preparation of internal credit presentations and credit analyses.
- Analyze financial models to assess creditworthiness.
- Collaborate with peers from Investment Banking, Leveraged Finance, Risk Management, and other internal product partners.
- Assess deal structures, industry dynamics, and investment merits.
- Support team members with portfolio management, administration, reporting, pipeline management, and budgeting.
- Liaise with back and middle office functions to set up transactions.
- Utilize AI tools to enhance productivity, client insights, and risk analysis.
Requirements
- Highly motivated candidates with a balance of university, work experience, and extra-curricular activities.
- Proven analytical skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to play a key role in a fast-paced, challenging team environment.
- Genuine interest in corporate finance and credit.
- Must be in their penultimate year of study.
- Must be Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents or eligible to work in Australia.
