About the Role

Lead the financial strategy for Zip across Australia and New Zealand, partnering with senior leaders to influence growth, investment, and performance. This role requires deep expertise in FP&A, commercial finance, and strategic business partnering within a high-growth, complex environment. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and influential leader who builds trusted relationships, develops high-performing teams, and thrives in a fast-paced culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead ANZ budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning processes, ensuring alignment between financial outcomes and strategic priorities.
  • Translate complex commercial, product, and operational drivers into meaningful insights for executive decision-making.
  • Partner with leaders across Product, Commercial, Strategy, and Operations to evaluate growth opportunities, pricing initiatives, investment decisions, and margin optimization strategies.
  • Develop robust scenario modeling and forecasting frameworks to improve visibility of risks, opportunities, and key business drivers.
  • Drive the evolution of FP&A capabilities through automation, scalable planning processes, and improved access to data-driven insights.
  • Champion the adoption of business intelligence tools, predictive analytics, and AI-enabled forecasting methodologies.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Finance Business Partners, fostering an inclusive culture focused on growth, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Embed strong risk-return thinking into planning and forecasting processes, ensuring business decisions align with Zip's strategic objectives and risk appetite.
  • Continuously improve financial transparency, forecasting accuracy, and performance management across the ANZ business.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience leading FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Strategic Finance functions within high-growth technology, fintech, or financial services environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect financial outcomes to broader business strategy and growth objectives.
  • Exceptional financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills, with experience translating complex information into actionable business insights.
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with executive stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams through periods of growth, transformation, and change.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning systems, ERP platforms, and modern reporting environments.
  • Passion for leveraging automation, business intelligence tools, data accessibility, and emerging AI capabilities to improve decision-making.
  • Experience within consumer lending, fintech, or financial services environments, including exposure to unit economics, customer acquisition metrics, margins, cost of capital, or bad debt modeling, will be highly regarded.
  • A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn, and grow.
  • An aptitude for identifying and managing risks.
