About the Role

Pinterest is seeking an Agency Lead to drive growth in Japan's agency business. This role involves serving as the primary contact for HoldCo agency partners, leveraging executive relationships and ad platform expertise to foster agency adoption of Pinterest ads. Key responsibilities include scaling education, transforming partners into advocates, and educating them on leveraging Pinterest's paid and organic solutions to achieve client goals, thereby contributing to the growth of one of the fastest-growing advertising platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Drive incremental and new business revenue with top agencies
  • Build relationships at the c-level and educate agencies to master the Pinterest ad platform and maximize success for their partners
  • Partner closely with Pinterest Sales Managers and leadership to execute the agency strategy
  • Identify local market opportunities in collaboration with the Global Agency team
  • Build, negotiate, and close annual commercial partnerships with assigned agency networks
  • Prove demonstrable impact of the agency team’s work using metrics and market feedback
  • Keep agencies updated with new Pinterest ad offerings
  • Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends
  • Work cross-functionally to help Pinterest build a world-class advertising platform
  • Leverage AI-powered tools to monitor client and agency portfolio performance, identify growth opportunities, and flag risks

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Digital advertising agency and agency sales experience, specifically with media agencies to deliver quarterly revenue targets
  • Demonstrable capabilities in implementing sales strategies into the HoldCo agency network, with a strong understanding of agency operating models and structures
  • Experience working with executive-level business and marketing leaders within agency organizations with a customer focus
  • Proven track record of negotiating and managing commercial partnerships
  • Ability to ensure accountability from internal cross-functional teams and agency stakeholders to deliver on annual goals
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Attention to detail
