About the Role

This role involves an AI-first engineering rebuild for a company with an audience exceeding 100 million people. It is a zero-to-one build without legacy constraints, offering the opportunity to establish ML systems correctly from inception. The primary goal is to ship machine learning solutions that generate real, measurable value for a massive consumer audience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and operate ML systems for the MrBeast ecosystem.
• Bridge data science, software engineering, and platform engineering to deliver production-grade capabilities.
• Build scalable ML systems and services that impact business metrics for a large audience.
• Own the full ML lifecycle, including data processing, feature engineering, training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Set AI-first engineering standards, including model testing and production integration.
• Develop, evaluate, and optimize models against real business problems.
• Establish monitoring, observability, and model performance tracking.
• Partner with product, data scientists, and software engineers to define and ship ML solutions.
• Drive architecture decisions for ML infrastructure and platform capabilities, reducing deployment cycle time.
• Mentor engineers, establish best practices, and ensure systems meet security, reliability, and compliance standards.

Requirements

• AI-native mindset with a focus on shipping ML.
• 8+ years in software or ML engineering.
• Strong experience deploying and operating ML systems in production.
• Solid Python and software engineering practice.
• Experience designing scalable distributed systems and data-intensive applications.
• Understanding of why models that perform well offline may fail in production.
• Evidence-driven approach with a focus on experimentation and measurable results.
• Ownership of outcomes from design through production operation.
