About the Role

The Senior Product Manager will own a portfolio of inventory capabilities for Cox Automotive's Common Vehicle Inventory (CVI) platform, from problem discovery through adoption. This role involves defining product strategy, driving alignment across teams, and ensuring successful adoption of shipped capabilities, focusing on outcomes and structured prioritization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead problem discovery and product strategy, identifying and validating problems through engagement with internal and external customers.
  • Define personas, map workflows, build hypotheses, and test them using data and customer evidence.
  • Write product discovery specifications with clear definitions, measurable acceptance criteria, and scope boundaries.
  • Maintain a forward-looking pipeline of work for engineering teams, balancing planning for momentum without overcommitting.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment and build consensus across product, UX, engineering, architecture, business leadership, and solution delivery teams.
  • Define adoption metrics, build rollout plans, and track progress for platform capabilities.
  • Proactively communicate status, risks, and wins to stakeholders, providing solutions for off-track items.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years' experience in a related field, or a master's degree and 4 years' experience, or a Ph.D. and up to 2 years of experience, or 10 years' experience in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software product management.
  • Demonstrated experience owning product discovery end-to-end, from problem identification through validated solution direction.
  • Understanding of modern product development practices and how to drive complex initiatives forward in a multi-team environment.
  • Experience with enterprise platform or capability products where customers are other products or technical teams preferred.
  • Ability to clear a pre-employment drug test (excluding marijuana for this position, but adherence to a drug-free workplace policy is required).

Salary/Compensations

  • Base salary in the range of $111,600.00 - $186,000.00
  • Eligible for additional compensation, including an incentive program
