About the Role

This role supports the delivery of water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects, focusing on structural design for critical public infrastructure like treatment facilities and pump stations. It offers opportunities to develop technical expertise, increase project responsibility, and progress toward senior-level roles within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis for new and existing water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Develop calculations, drawings, and specifications for reinforced concrete, structural steel, and masonry systems.
• Evaluate existing structures and contribute to repair and rehabilitation strategies.
• Take ownership of defined structural design packages, managing scope and deliverables.
• Apply sound engineering judgment while gaining independence in technical decision-making.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and process teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Prepare construction documents, including plans, sections, details, and specifications.
• Support quality control reviews to ensure accuracy, constructability, and alignment with project requirements.
• Support field implementation through submittal reviews, RFIs, and site observations during construction.
• Work directly with contractors to resolve challenges and ensure successful execution of designs.
• Participate in team and client coordination.
• Contribute technical inputs for proposals and project pursuits.
• Contribute to community-focused projects, improving water quality, advancing sustainability, and enhancing infrastructure resilience.
• Build technical expertise through hands-on project delivery alongside experienced engineers.
• Take an active role in developing professional capabilities and progressing toward senior and leadership positions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 7 years of relevant structural engineering experience
• Experience designing reinforced concrete, structural steel, and masonry systems
• Experience with water, wastewater, and flood resiliency related projects
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• OSHA 10 Hr Training
