About the Role
This role supports the delivery of water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects, focusing on structural design for critical public infrastructure like treatment facilities and pump stations. It offers opportunities to develop technical expertise, increase project execution responsibility, and progress toward senior-level roles within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural design and analysis for new and existing water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Develop calculations, drawings, and specifications for reinforced concrete, structural steel, and masonry systems.
- Evaluate existing structures and contribute to repair and rehabilitation strategies.
- Take ownership of defined structural design packages, managing scope and deliverables.
- Apply sound engineering judgment and gain independence in technical decision-making.
- Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and process teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Prepare construction documents, including plans, sections, details, and specifications.
- Support quality control reviews to ensure accuracy, constructability, and project alignment.
- Support field implementation during construction through submittal reviews, RFIs, and site observations.
- Work directly with contractors to resolve challenges and ensure successful execution of designs.
- Participate in team and client coordination.
- Contribute technical inputs for proposals and project pursuits.
- Contribute to community-focused projects, improving water quality, advancing sustainability, and enhancing critical infrastructure resilience.
- Build technical expertise through hands-on project delivery.
- Develop professional capabilities and progress toward senior and leadership positions.
Requirements
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- OSHA 10 Hr Training
Skills
- Experience designing reinforced concrete, structural steel, and masonry systems
- Experience with water, wastewater, and flood resiliency related projects
