About the Role

Work on a custom-built online quote, bind, and documentation issuance platform, providing analytics for underwriting, portfolio analysis, and product performance. Responsibilities include platform maintenance and projects like product consolidation, modernization, and enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable server-side applications and services.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code using industry best practices and coding standards.
  • Collaborate with the frontend team to integrate frontend components with server-side logic.
  • Work with database administrator to ensure optimal data storage and retrieval.
  • Optimize server applications for maximum speed, performance, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and debug server issues, providing timely solutions.
  • Implement security and data protection measures.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a .NET Backend Developer or similar role.
  • Proven high proficiency in .NET (C#) and SQL.
  • Experience in ASP.NET, .NET Framework 4.8 and SQL Stored Procedures.
  • Familiarity with database systems, both relational and NoSQL.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and other web service technologies.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks and test-driven development; unit, functional & non-functional testing.
  • Security awareness and the ability to implement security best practices.
  • Performance optimization and profiling skills.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Able to take initiative, problem solve, make decisions and turn ideas into code.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated.
  • Familiar with the Software Development Life Cycle process.
  • Insurance experience is advantageous, but not mandatory.
  • Ability to read Delphi code and use of RAD Studio advantageous.
