About the Role

The Project Accountant will be responsible for all financial processes related to Interior Design and Creative Services projects throughout the firm. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this role is crucial for a rapidly expanding business and contributes to the improvement of the Finance Team. This is a fast-paced, high-volume position for a highly driven individual focused on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly invoices based on percentage complete and time and expense billing, ensuring deadlines are met.
Implement and maintain scheduled accounts receivable collections, including follow-ups, documentation, and escalation to management for problem accounts, and run bi-weekly review meetings.
Assist monthly financial reporting by preparing KPI analysis.
Calculate direct labor utilization and realization rates as required.
Update and maintain the Project Command Centre in Ajera.
Participate in monthly project billing calls with the Corporate Accountant, Directors, Team Leads, and Finance team.
Manage and maintain ASR tracking.
Collaborate with Corporate Accountant, Directors, Team Leads, and Project Managers to monitor project performance and forecasts.
Ensure all contracts, invoices, and project reporting are organized and saved.
Review and adjust employee timesheets and expenses for assigned teams.

Experience Level

3-5 years accounting experience, preferably in a professional service industry (e.g., Architectural, Interior Design, Engineering)

Education Level

Certificate in Accounting or equivalent is preferred
