About the Role

Travelers' Claim Organization provides assurance to customers. This Associate Claim Rep, Specialty Liability position offers comprehensive training in claim handling, customer service, and policy interpretation, working alongside experienced professionals. The role focuses on developing skills to manage Marine Liability claims and is the first step toward becoming a fully qualified Claims Representative. The program typically lasts 9-12 months, leading to independent claims handling responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in structured training classes covering claim processes, systems, and procedures, including virtual, classroom, and on-the-job training.
  • Learn to investigate, determine coverage, liability, and damages based on policy terms and claim facts.
  • Under close supervision, review, investigate, and document claims.
  • Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers.
  • Communicate claim status to internal and external business customers and legal counsel.
  • Maintain accurate records of claim activity in claim management systems.
  • Acquire and maintain relevant Insurance License(s) within three months to comply with state and Travelers’ requirements.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and one year of customer service experience, OR a Bachelor’s Degree.

Salary/Compensations

  • $52,600.00 - $86,800.00
