About the Role

The Network Management Platform team at Fastly is responsible for the suite of services and infrastructure that store and deploy all of Fastly’s network configuration. This mission-critical team shepherds the fleet’s view of the world. As a key player, you will interact with infrastructure and operations teams, collaborate with partners to set team direction, and deliver next-generation features and functionality to enable Fastly to operate an ever-expanding global fleet.

Responsibilities

Architect and deliver next-generation features for network configuration management and deployment.
Design and deliver features to support infrastructure provisioning as Fastly’s fleet grows in size and complexity.
Develop and improve software development processes, including testing and CI/CD.
Write performant, maintainable, clear, and concise code; contribute to code reviews and team process improvement.
Mentor and support other engineers, fostering knowledge sharing, innovation, and collaboration within the team.

Requirements

Significant professional experience developing software, typically over 5 years.
3 years of experience building and managing containerized applications and orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
3 years of experience automating public cloud workloads (GCP, AWS) using IaC solutions such as Terraform.
Experience with software development and DevOps best practices.
Proven ability to write resilient and maintainable code in Python or another modern language.

Salary/Compensations

Estimated salary range in the US: $181,220 to $217,464
