About the Role

Lincoln International seeks Analysts for the rapidly growing Transaction Opinions and Board Advisory team within the Valuations & Opinions Group (VOG). Successful candidates will possess strong technical and interpersonal abilities, a desire for professional and personal development, and motivation to build a leading transaction opinions practice in a fast-paced, growth environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain transactional experience and build a corporate finance toolkit through engagements with public and private companies and leading private equity firms. Engagements include M&A, restructuring, recapitalization, spin-off transactions, and board or special committee advisory situations, delivering fairness and solvency opinions or valuations. The Analyst serves as an analytical and organizational anchor for deal teams, with responsibilities often more entrepreneurial than at other firms, providing opportunities to contribute to a dynamic and growing platform. Successful Analysts are assertive, motivated self-starters with the potential to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare, complete, and review financial models and sophisticated valuation and financial analyses for fairness and solvency opinions.
Analyze, review, and navigate SEC filings (8-K, 10-Q, 10-K), investor presentations, equity research reports, and other resources to calculate trading/transaction multiples and support market-based valuation models.
Research market and transactional data and trends to assist with synthesizing market insights for engagements, client pitches, white papers, or market perspectives.
Assist with preparing client deliverables and client discussion materials.
Work closely with Lincoln deal teams, senior officers, and clients to align work streams with project plans or transaction timelines.
Maintain proprietary valuation databases.
Prepare marketing materials for meetings with potential or existing clients and support senior members of the Transaction Opinions & Board Advisory team.

Excellent foundation of corporate finance knowledge with advanced understanding of financial statements and various valuation methodologies (DCF, comparable company analysis).
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics from a top-tier institution with a strong academic record (undergraduate and graduate).
Proficiency in financial modeling with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong writing skills and experience with PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.
Effective organizational skills and aptitude to manage people and work products.
Strong communication skills and experience interacting with teammates and clients.
One year of professional services experience in the financial services industry (investment banking, valuations, or accounting) is strongly preferred.
