About the Role

Childventures seeks a passionate childcare leader to inspire growth and excellence at Leslieville and Riverdale campuses. Directors oversee Centre operations, embed strategic direction, and maintain a high-quality childcare environment through strong educational offerings, financial management, and team mentorship. The role requires maintaining open communication with parents and team members, guided by Childventures' vision, brand, and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and day-to-day direction to lead centre teams in achieving financial, enrollment, and excellence targets.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including children, parents, ministry representatives, and Childventures leadership.
  • Provide centre-level leadership through scheduling, training, coaching, feedback, and guidance to develop the team.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and wellness of children and team members within the Centre.
  • Develop, foster, and maintain collaborative partnerships with community partners and organizational leadership.

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented with a deep understanding of ministry and CCYEA licensing regulations.

  • Expert in time management and personal organization.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks independently.
  • Experience working with children of all age groups in an early childhood education setting.
  • Obtain Supervisor Director Approval from the Ministry of Education as per the CCEYA.
  • 2 Step TB clearance.
  • Updated Immunizations (Tetanus, MMR).
  • Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (within 3 months of hire).

Experience Level

  • Minimum of three years supervisory experience
  • Knowledge and experience operating a childcare Centre

Education Level

  • Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognized Ontario Post-Secondary Institution or AECEO Equivalency
  • Childcare Management Certificate or equivalent (asset)
  • Registered member of the College of ECE in good standing (RECE)
