About the Role
Oversee daily summer camp operations and activities for the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) Project at the Muslim Association of Canada (MAC). This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure a positive, engaging, and safe camp experience. Provide administrative support and ensure programs align with MAC’s values.
Responsibilities
- Perform general administrative tasks including drafting documents, managing correspondence, and maintaining files.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of camp activities and daily schedules.
- Communicate clearly with parents and address inquiries to maintain high customer service.
- Create camp communications, including newsletters, flyers, and promotional materials.
- Manage camper registration and maintain accurate attendance and fee tracking records.
- Oversee supply management and ensure timely procurement of materials.
- Supervise and support campers, ensuring their safety and well-being during activities.
- Lead and motivate camp staff and volunteers for successful program delivery.
- Monitor incidents, complete reports, and report to the camp manager.
- Actively participate in daily operations and serve as a key contact for staff and parents.
Requirements
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at employment start.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person granted refugee protection.
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
