About the Role
Seeking a security officer for a premier luxury retail flagship in San Francisco. This dynamic role involves being the initial guest contact, maintaining calm authority during busy periods, and managing crowd control in high-traffic situations. Work in an upscale, client-facing environment where judgment and presence are crucial.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible, welcoming presence at the entrance and throughout the floor, greeting guests and remaining alert.
- Manage guest flow during regular hours, peak periods, product launches, and special events.
- Identify and de-escalate disruptive behavior using calm, direct communication.
- Handle access control, log deliveries, and accurately track high-value merchandise.
- Partner with store leadership for incident reporting and daily operational needs.
- Represent the store's standard of professionalism in all interactions, including appearance and conduct.
Requirements
- Valid California Guard Card (BSIS-issued) required before first day.
- At least 3 years of retail security experience.
- Background in law enforcement, military, corrections, security, or door/crowd control strongly preferred.
- Experience in high-volume public environments such as retail, hospitality, or events.
- Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality.
