About the Role

We are hiring a Platform Engineer to help design, build, and operate the infrastructure and internal platform behind Rox’s agent runtime. This role focuses on platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, real-time data infrastructure, agent orchestration, and developer productivity. You will work across foundational infrastructure and developer platform experience, ensuring reliable, scalable, and observable systems in production while enabling rapid team iteration. This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy end-to-end system ownership, from infrastructure primitives and runtime reliability to deployment workflows, tooling, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Design and build core infrastructure powering Rox agents.
Improve the reliability, scalability, and observability of distributed systems.
Build and maintain cloud infrastructure, deployment systems, and platform tooling.
Develop systems for real-time context ingestion and low-latency retrieval.
Support execution frameworks for long-running agent workflows.
Improve developer experience through automation, tooling, and self-service infrastructure.
Partner with product and forward deployed engineers to enable rapid iteration in production.
Establish engineering standards for monitoring, incident response, performance, and operational maturity.
Ship production systems quickly and evolve them based on real-world usage.

Requirements

Experience building and operating production infrastructure and backend systems.
Strong experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or distributed backend systems.
Strong intuition for reliability, scalability, latency, and operational tradeoffs.
Comfort debugging production systems and solving problems across infrastructure and application layers.
Bias toward shipping, learning from production, and continuously improving systems.
Ability to work across platform and infrastructure domains based on company priorities.
