Responsibilities
- Assist patients with exercise, ADLs, functional activities, and assistive device application per Occupational Therapist's treatment plan
- Support Occupational Therapist in collecting outcome measures and completing complex treatment procedures
- Educate patients, families, and health workers on procedures and functional activities as directed by the Occupational Therapist
- Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all provided care
- Adhere to AOTA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
- Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program
- Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification and license to practice in the state of application
- Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, related to treatment of complex neurological injuries
- Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques
- Current CPR certification
