About the Role
Provide front-line support to students and staff at Tower Hill and Brentford campuses. Assist with Turnitin account and system setup, ID card creation, attendance tracking, and coordination between students and teachers. Maintain records, manage notices, and report activities to the Line Manager. This role supports LAAT's OfS registration framework and compliance with regulatory conditions related to student outcomes, quality of experience, and access and participation.
Responsibilities
- Support students with institutional systems (SEATs, Moodle, Turnitin, Microsoft Teams) setup and navigation.
- Monitor student attendance and engagement using SEATs, accurately inputting data and flagging concerns.
- Assist students with Moodle access, course navigation, and assessment submissions via Turnitin, troubleshooting and escalating issues.
- Help students with initial login issues and account setup, reporting unresolved IT issues to the IT Manager.
- Operate ID card printer to create and distribute student ID cards.
- Ensure ID card records are updated and accurate.
- Maintain attendance registers and accurate attendance sheets, ensuring timely updates.
- Support maintaining student data for reporting.
- Escort students from reception to classrooms as needed.
- Act as a liaison between teachers and students for class management.
- Handle basic student queries regarding finance, attendance, or academic concerns.
- Escalate relevant queries to the student support team.
- Manage student records, input data, and support learning and assessment processes using Moodle, Turnitin, and SEATs.
- Signpost students to relevant academic, welfare, and support services.
- Maintain accurate records and collaborate with internal teams for effective communication and case follow-up.
- Resolve academic and system-related student queries to improve engagement and timely assessment submissions.
- Record daily activities and share updates with the Line Manager.
- Update noticeboards with subject details, class schedules, and contact information.
- Prepare and display key announcements for students.
- Support additional activities or tasks as assigned by management.
- Work additional hours if required, subject to discussion and agreement.
