About the Role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of all golf course facilities, excluding turf and grounds care. This role focuses on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and well-maintained operations. The technician also helps maintain a clean, organized, and presentable environment throughout all facility areas.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on clubhouse and facility systems
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, equipment rooms, and workspaces
- Ensure facilities are safe, functional, and visually well-kept at all times
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
- Perform filter changes, system checks, and seasonal maintenance
- Coordinate with outside vendors when major repairs are required
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, piping, and drainage systems
- Diagnose and resolve leaks, clogs, and water pressure issues
- Maintain restrooms, kitchens, irrigation supply lines (facility-related only), and water systems
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, lighting, outlets, and fixtures
- Replace bulbs, ballasts, and minor wiring components
- Ensure all electrical systems meet safety standards and codes
- Perform carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and minor construction as needed
- Maintain doors, locks, windows, and structural components
- Assist with setup and breakdown of events when needed
- Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and company policies
- Identify hazards and report safety concerns promptly
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in safe working condition
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance preferred
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Basic understanding of building systems and repair techniques
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials (50+ lbs)
- Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
