About the Role

Operational owner of Atlas Coffee Club’s end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution, ensuring an efficient, scalable, and cost-effective supply chain across sourcing, procurement, inventory management, production planning, logistics, fulfillment support, supplier management, and transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution.
  • Lead and execute the company’s Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Own the monthly S&OP process, leading Demand, Supply, Inventory Reviews, operational constraints, capacity planning, and production plan meetings.
  • Translate projections into actionable purchasing and production plans.
  • Ensure clear, efficient, and accurate production schedules based on projections, inventory, and Amazon FBA demand.
  • Own the production planning process, translating demand forecasts into purchasing and production plans.
  • Develop and implement scalable supply chain processes.
  • Support supply chain initiatives for new product launches, operational expansion, automation, and strategic business initiatives.
  • Implement systems and workflows to convert Shopify order demand into actionable production plans.
  • Develop and maintain a monthly finished goods build-ahead process to optimize efficiency and minimize inventory risk.
  • Collaborate with Production Manager to improve scheduling efficiency, labor utilization, inventory staging, and throughput planning.
  • Develop inventory allocation plans across D2C, Amazon FBA, and wholesale channels.
  • Own inventory policy, safety stock strategy, inventory turns, and excess & obsolete inventory reduction plans.
  • Host Q3 holiday planning sessions, presenting detailed fulfillment plans including projections, staffing, training, storage, and contingency plans.
  • Own all supplier relationships excluding green coffee procurement.
  • Source, vet, negotiate, and onboard new suppliers, ensuring contingency suppliers for critical materials.
  • Conduct quarterly supplier audits to mitigate disruption risks.
  • Conduct quarterly pricing audits across all vendors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and service agreements with suppliers.
  • Conduct bi-annual packaging and supplies audits for best value materials meeting operational, quality, and team member requirements.
  • Build strategic supplier partnerships for cost optimization, quality improvement, and operational reliability.
  • Own purchasing strategy for all materials (excluding green coffee), approve PO commitments, and manage supplier risk.
  • Communicate roasted coffee needs for production in weekly green coffee release meetings.
  • Manage inbound logistics for green coffee to meet inventory and production planning requirements.
  • Coordinate freight scheduling with importers, carriers, warehouses, and transportation providers.
  • Own all parcel carrier relationships and annual carrier negotiations.
  • Conduct annual freight and parcel RFPs for competitive rates.
  • Monitor parcel carrier performance to meet delivery speed targets and escalate service failures.
  • Partner with carriers and logistics providers to optimize shipping costs, delivery speed, and operational reliability.
  • Own end-to-end inventory management processes for raw materials, green coffee, packaging, and finished goods.
  • Oversee monthly inventory audits with Finance, Operations, and Green Coffee leadership, resolving variances.
  • Lead monthly green coffee inventory review meetings.
  • Ensure BOMs are properly created, maintained, and updated within Unleashed ERP.
  • Maintain a rolling 24-month capacity model and recommend equipment and warehouse expansion.
  • Partner with system developers to ensure inventory synchronization between Shopify, Unleashed, and operational systems.
  • Drive continuous improvements in inventory accuracy, traceability, and reporting.
  • Meet regularly with Director of Platforms and Production Manager for Amazon demand forecasts and inventory planning.
  • Manage co-manufacturer relationships, ensuring products meet quality, production, and delivery standards.
  • Ensure raw materials and roasted coffee are allocated for the Production Manager.
  • Develop and maintain supply chain KPIs, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Track and report metrics for inventory accuracy, fill rates, supplier performance, freight costs, production attainment, and service levels.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, cost reduction, and operational scalability.
  • Support long-term operational planning through data analysis and forecasting.
  • Develop processes and reporting tools to improve supply chain visibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive supply chain, procurement, logistics, inventory planning, or operations experience.
  • Experience in D2C ecommerce, food manufacturing, subscription commerce, consumer packaged goods, or vertically integrated operations preferred.
  • Strong understanding of S&OP, inventory planning, forecasting, procurement, logistics, and supplier management.
  • Experience managing ERP systems and inventory management software; Unleashed ERP experience preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional communication skills.

  • $120,000 - $130,000, dependent on experience and qualifications
