About the Role

The Service Bartender supports Restaurant Dining Rooms and Bar operations by preparing high-quality beverages for servers and guests. This role involves both back-of-house drink preparation and guest-facing service, providing direct beverage service and hospitality. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, team environment, consistently creating great experiences for guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and maintain guest service quality standards
  • Demonstrate courtesy, commitment, and professionalism
  • Maintain a positive attitude and provide friendly, professional, and enthusiastic service
  • Prepare and present high-quality beverages according to standards, maintaining hygiene
  • Ensure drinks follow recipes and track all wastages and spills accurately
  • Adhere to Smart Serve and AGCO regulations
  • Adhere to company grooming and uniform standards, maintaining professionalism
  • Master drink menu knowledge and promotions to provide expert recommendations
  • Oversee and train F&B General Helper in service excellence standards
  • Cover breaks for assigned bartenders
  • Uphold and demonstrate F&B Department safety rules and standards
  • Attend staff meetings and training to advance knowledge of menu, specials, new products, and guest service procedures
  • Organize, operate, and control the bar for timely service and quality product delivery
  • Manage bar setup, including cleaning, stocking, and opening/closing procedures
  • Maintain a clean and neat bar area, including dish removal, sweeping, and mopping
  • Clean and maintain all bar equipment, including ice wells and machines
  • Use all equipment safely and for its intended purpose
  • Record sales and process payments
  • Assume responsibility for cash shortages as per policy and collective agreement
  • Order and control bar stock according to par levels
  • Conduct inventory and complete assigned checklists
  • Receive and record food and beverage merchandise
  • Process all products for delivery through the POS system
  • Dismantle, clean, close, lock the bar, and secure product at shift end
  • Complete all required paperwork and reporting, including shift inventory
  • Report all voids and spillages to Supervisor
  • Perform other assigned duties
  • Foster teamwork by collaborating with co-workers and assisting with duties to maintain a high standard of guest experience
  • Advise Supervisor of occurrences compromising customer relations
  • Advise Supervisor of occurrences impeding operational efficiency
  • Report special occurrences or discrepancies to Manager and/or Supervisor
  • Identify and recommend service or operational performance improvements to Manager and/or Supervisor

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude
  • Positive and personable attitude with proven excellent guest service
  • Minimum 2 years experience in full-service bars and restaurants
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a bartending role
  • Previous experience handling cash and POS system
  • Basic math, wine, and liquor knowledge
  • Obtain and maintain Food Handlers Certification
  • Obtain and maintain Smart Serve Certification
  • Obtain and maintain AGCO gaming license, as required
