About the Role

Join the Legal team as a Structured Investments and Annuities Coverage Attorney. This role requires experience with financial products, including structured investments, and in-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. Collaborate with structured investment and annuities business lines and other Legal and Compliance attorneys.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate complex agreements with structured investment and annuity product issuers and financial institution users.
  • Assess and mitigate legal, regulatory, and reputational risk for product offerings and financial technology services.
  • Collaborate with and advise Structured Investments and Annuities business teams on strategic initiatives and daily operations.
  • Analyze cross-border legal and regulatory requirements and advise business teams.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of the Securities Act of 1933, Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and FINRA rules.
  • Member in good standing of the New York Bar or another state/jurisdiction.
  • Law firm or in-house broker-dealer experience, including structured product desk support (a plus).
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in an evolving business environment.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, with big picture capabilities.

  • Financial products experience, including structured investments.
  • Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations applicable to financial products.
  • Knowledge of Securities Act of 1933.

Salary/Compensations

  • $180,000 to $220,000
