About the Role

This position is responsible for all equipment associated with the Cream Cheese Packaging lines, including performing activities related to repair, maintenance, and installation. The role provides technical and problem-solving support for the line and plant, supporting and executing plant-specific maintenance strategies to achieve key performance goals. It ensures preventative maintenance schedules are met, issues are resolved and communicated timely, and oversees overall maintenance, quality, and output for the line. Participation in Kraft Heinz Management Systems (KHMS) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct repairs, adjustments, and operational checks for effective equipment setups and changeovers, ensuring quality output.
  • Efficiently operate and monitor equipment including cookers, fillers, packers, palletizers, robotic equipment, scales, x-rays, washers, and conveyors.
  • Perform servicing and repairs on equipment components such as gearboxes, pumps, valves, sensors, filters, carts, piping, and motors.
  • Manage KPIs for assigned areas using SAP, ensuring accuracy for all associated equipment including BOMs, maintaining and improving OEE/GE Standards, and managing cost center budgets and line improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of equipment adjustments using SAP.
  • Minimize costs through innovation, initiative, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with programmers, contractors, vendors, and service technicians for maintenance requirements.
  • Implement and maintain QRMP standards, actively executing performance monitoring audits.
  • Cross-train on additional lines and equipment to provide coverage for planned and unplanned team absences.
  • Ensure overall housekeeping, complete associated period work, and adhere to GMPs in the work area.
  • Perform all maintenance activity related to the line, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and rebuilds.
  • Actively participate in establishing documented standard practices, change control, training, and performance metrics.
  • Maintain positive rapport with customers, suppliers, contractors, and other Associates.
  • Participate on assigned teams and support team decisions.
  • Ensure equipment and machinery are cleaned and sanitized according to Kraft Heinz Sanitation Program rules.
  • Ensure all manufactured products comply with the Quality Assurance Program and policies.
  • Follow Kraft Heinz Safety Process instructions, ensuring personal and others' safety, and adhere to LOTO policy and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years previous experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic fields.
  • Understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance processes.
  • Comply with all Kraft policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Adhere to all site rules and ways of working processes and procedures.
  • Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Timely Period Work completion.
  • Ability to perform all sanitation duties.
  • Team participation.
  • Overall Kraft job performance and attendance will be evaluated.
  • Understanding of basic electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical troubleshooting.

Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to learn shop skills, welding, machining, and HVAC.

Location

  • Lowville Plant

Work Type

  • 12 hour shifts may be required.
  • Off shift coverage may be required.
  • Work on all shifts expected.
  • Weekend and Holiday work will be required.
  • Schedule is based on a 7 day/week production; workdays may fluctuate.

Salary/Compensations
