About the Role

Oversee operations of a 300+-person global marketing organization. Design and own the operating system to scale MongoDB's marketing function with speed, alignment, and discipline. Represent the CMO and resolve cross-functional friction.

Responsibilities

  • Design and run the operating cadence for the marketing organization, including leadership meetings, QBRs, offsites, board prep, and executive readouts.
  • Develop workback plans and manage risks for major events like board prep, earnings, QBRs, offsites, and executive reviews.
  • Act as an extension of the CMO, attending leadership and cross-functional forums, providing direction, and making decisions.
  • Broker alignment between marketing functions and with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer, and Finance organizations.
  • Partner with DRIs on high-priority cross-functional projects, assisting with definition and delivery.
  • Lead budget, headcount, and operating model governance in partnership with FP&A and People teams.
  • Draft executive communications, including board materials, all-hands content, leadership updates, and strategic narratives.
  • Own the system for tracking marketing conversations, business performance, and decision points, including monthly trajectory reviews.

Requirements

  • 8-12 years in top-tier management consulting or senior operating roles within high-growth B2B SaaS companies.
  • Proven experience as Chief of Staff, Head of Marketing/Business/Sales Operations, or senior strategy and operations leader at a $1B+ revenue technology company.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at the executive level and navigate without direct authority.
