About the Role
The College of Early Childhood Educators supports high-quality early learning and care by regulating over 65,000 members of the profession. This role supports a lean internal team managing the migration of the College’s membership management system (MMS) from iMIS to an upgraded Enterprise Management System (EMS). The Project Coordinator will be organized, analytical, work independently, and effectively liaise with internal departments and external project team members to ensure a timely database development and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Generate project artifacts and documentation
- Produce status reports and presentations for the team
- Liaise between the core project team and College departments
- Coordinate testing and meetings with the core project team, vendors, and SMEs
- Provide project management support for iMIS/EMS project tasks
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, including minute taking and record keeping
- Track, monitor, and update schedules, tasks, and project plans
- Gather information for project plans, schedules, and monitoring tools to identify dependencies
- Proactively ensure deadlines and deliverables are met
- Participate collaboratively in meetings, working groups, and project consultations
- Create and update functional requirement documents in consultation with the project team
- Support departments during each project phase
- Support the development of staff training tools and content
- Provide input into project plans, including risk logs, communication plans, and sprint plans
- Perform other assigned project administration or tasks
Requirements
- Previous experience coordinating or managing projects
- Demonstrated competency generating technical documents and artifacts
- Flexibility to work independently and in a team environment with changing priorities
Skills
- Familiarity with traditional, Agile, Scrum, or Lean methodologies
- Familiarity with Client/Membership Databases
- Judgement and analytical skills to identify issues, conduct research, and analyze options
- Written communication skills for generating management reports
- Listening, verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
- Time management and prioritization skills to adhere to project deliverables and deadlines
- Resilience, tact, diplomacy, and change management skills
- Knowledge of SharePoint, Azure, Windows 10, and Microsoft 365 (M365) technologies
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and project management platforms
