About the Role
This role is crucial for the safe and efficient collection of residential waste, including yard waste, recycling, and garbage. It requires adherence to municipal and environmental regulations while delivering dependable service to the community. Drivers are expected to maintain high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service, ensuring proper waste disposal and respectful interactions with residents.
Responsibilities
- Perform various residential waste stream collections.
- Collect yard waste, blue box, green bin, and residential garbage.
- Provide high-quality customer service, ensuring proper waste stream disposal.
- Adhere to collection and delivery schedules, transporting waste to transfer stations, compost facilities, or landfill sites efficiently.
- Follow company, MTO, Ministry of Environment policies, and municipal by-laws.
- Interact politely and respectfully with employees, management, residents, and the public.
- Return emptied waste receptacles to the resident's property, flipped upside down at the curb.
- Lift and load garbage bags or cans up to 50 lbs into collection vehicles.
- Complete 800-900+ residential stops daily.
Requirements
- Adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Valid DZ Driver's Licence.
- Clean Driver's Abstract.
- Clean CVOR Abstract.
- Team player with safe working habits.
- Physically fit lifestyle.
