About the Role

This role supports Braven's ambition to serve 80,000-100,000 Fellows over the next decade. The Director, Strategy will collaborate with leadership to define and monitor the organization's strategic direction, leading and executing projects crucial for short-term and long-term financial, operational, and scale goals. The role requires leveraging strategic and analytical strengths to design and manage a portfolio of impactful projects, leading cross-functional teams, and managing consultants. This position is on the Insights & Strategy team and reports to the Head of Insights & Strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives and projects with executive leaders, ensuring alignment with business and program models.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to identify and evaluate new business opportunities and partnerships aligned with strategic goals.
  • Lead working groups to drive strategic plan execution, codify decisions, report progress to leadership, and recommend solutions.
  • Establish and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) to track strategic initiative success.
  • Design, build, and manage a system to document, cascade, and monitor Braven’s key metrics across program and organizational health.
  • Own the build, rollout, and maintenance of regional and organizational health dashboards and department-specific KPI dashboards.
  • Support planning and facilitation for Central Leads and One Braven leadership bodies, including stepbacks, knowledge base maintenance, agenda preparation, and content creation.
  • Facilitate, project manage, and lead aspects of multi-year and annual planning processes.
  • Provide ongoing thought partnership and data-driven decision support for the Alignment Team.
  • Utilize AI responsibly to continuously improve work effectiveness and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Fluency in Excel/Google Sheets and SQL
  • Proficiency in designing and building dashboards and visualizations for business end users and/or organizational leaders (Tableau preferred)
  • Extensive experience writing and presenting compelling data-driven stories, arguments, and narratives for internal and external audiences
  • Ability to work in-person in Chicago (IL), Atlanta (GA), Newark (NJ), or New York City (NYC) at least 3 days per week
  • Ability to travel out-of-town 3-6 times/year for quarterly team meetings and other gatherings
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary/Compensations

  • Chicago: $101,200 - $126,400
  • Atlanta: $95,900 - $119,800
  • New York and/or New Jersey: $111,300 - $139,100
  • Based on a 50-hour work week at an hourly rate
