Responsibilities
- Guide high-end clients through a premium sales experience.
- Create inspired spaces with world-class furniture and décor.
- Curate luxury looks and earn commissions.
- Contribute to store sales goals by selling furniture, accessories, and services.
- Promote the Design program and assist designers in achieving sales goals.
- Execute the La-Z-Boy selling process to provide a favorable customer experience.
- Develop and utilize sales skills including approach, rapport building, needs discovery, presentations, objection handling, closing, and follow-up.
- Maximize store promotions, marketing initiatives, and grassroots programs.
- Maintain strong knowledge of existing and new product lines.
- Schedule professional home consultations to present customized room designs.
- Execute and champion the Design process following company guidelines.
- Support design-related functions in the store.
- Provide the highest level of customer service.
- Ensure an informative and positive customer experience using product knowledge and selling processes.
- Effectively use Podium for customer satisfaction and follow-up.
- Make sound business decisions to deliver customer satisfaction and promote a team environment.
- Respond to incoming phone calls and emails.
- Assist in handling customer issues and complaints, providing appropriate solutions.
- Maintain positive working relationships with all store employees.
- Assist in training, coaching, and developing new peers on product knowledge and selling skills.
- Promote and champion a culture of sales and service.
- Assist with maintaining the overall visual appearance of the store, including displays and cleanliness.
- Accurately complete order information, collect deposits and fees, and maintain customer records.
- Research customer payments and deliveries.
- Accurately complete daily On-Point system logs.
- Demonstrate urgency, enthusiasm, and excitement with the store team and customers.
- Maintain adequate knowledge of company standards, product knowledge, and internal systems.
- Consistently schedule deliveries with customers.
- Responsible for opening and closing the store.
Requirements
- Polished, persuasive, and ambitious.

- Experienced in sales or retail, with luxury experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale strongly preferred.

- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate, build rapport, and influence.
- Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills.
- Ability to effectively manage time and conflicting priorities.
- Ability to work effectively and productively as a team.

Salary/Compensations
- Base pay plus unlimited commission
- Top performers earn $45,000 - $50,000+ annually
- Training pay: $16 per hour for 2-6 weeks (no commission)
- Average annual earning potential after training: $35,000 - $55,000+ (inclusive of base, bonus, and commission)
- Post-training base pay: $13 per hour (varies by store location)
- Uncapped commission: 3% on La-Z-Boy Design Sales, 2% on other sales
- Quarterly bonus opportunity of $1,500 based on individual sales goals
- Company ensures pay meets state/local minimum wage requirements
