About the Role
The Federal Work Study Administrative Assistant for Schools of Entertainment supports daily operations, assists students with inquiries, and helps students become acquainted with department staff, building, and events. This role reinforces educational and vocational goals by providing opportunities to learn customer service and basic administrative skills.
Responsibilities
- Support general daily operations for the Schools of Entertainment Department
- Provide basic administrative functions
- Assist students with questions, class locations, and other inquiries
- Help students become acquainted with department staff, building, and upcoming events
Requirements
- Successfully completed at least one semester of classes
- One year of professional customer service experience
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Team-oriented and solutions-oriented
- Ability to anticipate needs of others and provide effective support
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency with important matters
- Basic computer knowledge in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
