Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist patients upon arrival, creating a warm and positive first impression.
  • Optimize the daily appointment schedule to ensure full utilization with minimal gaps.
  • Effectively manage the recall system and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records.
  • Handle incoming patient calls and inquiries, including appointment scheduling, confirmations, changes, and cancellations.
  • Process referral letters and other patient correspondence from providers; organize, manage, and file all patient records and charts.
  • Proactively manage potential cancellations and address objections to encourage patients to keep their appointments.
  • Complete patient billing following treatment, process payments, submit insurance claims, and respond to fee inquiries in a professional and positive manner.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of Dental Administration experience is required.
  • Experience with dental software programs is required.
  • Clinical background is considered an asset.
