About the Role
Join STV's dynamic team as a Senior Transit Architect, working on innovative transportation projects that will shape the future.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate an architectural/engineering team in preparing documents for transportation projects.
- Perform initial and detailed phases of Architectural design work, collaborating with various disciplines, clients, and consultants.
- Prepare Architectural plans and/or supervise their execution.
- Perform analysis of design and construction systems, planning studies, design layouts, and construction details.
- Oversee research for specifications, including coordinating with manufacturers.
- Conduct site and construction inspections for information gathering and prepare interpretive reports.
- Execute code analysis, material selections, and technical solutions.
- Analyze design and construction systems, design layouts, and construction features by researching, compiling, and recording information.
- Coordinate with other disciplines.
- Plan, schedule, coordinate, manage, and oversee project work.
- Determine technical approach and design criteria for projects with multiple design disciplines.
- Lead and coach architectural staff.
- Perform independent investigations, studies, and architectural analysis.
- Develop design details, plans, and specifications.
- Serve as quality control reviewer.
- Use computer software as a design tool for complex architectural problems.
- Contribute new designs or techniques of material significance to problem solutions.
- Remain current in codes and technologies appropriate to architecture, including IBC and NFPA.
- Ensure conformance with standards, established architectural practices, applicable codes, and technical adequacy of design and construction.
- Review shop drawings and Requests for Information (RFIs).
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of experience as a project architect within the rail/transit sector.
- Transit Architecture design experience, including station and related facilities.
- Registered Licensed Architect in the State of New York.
- Experience in the transportation sector.
- Excellent design, technical detailing, and strong presentation skills (verbal and visual).
- Self-starter with a passion for problem-solving.

Salary/Compensations
- $149,671.54 - $171,053.19
