About the Role

Support reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of finance-related IT applications. Act as a central point of contact between Finance, IT, and external service providers to ensure smooth financial system operation, supporting business processes and compliance requirements. This position is ideal for experienced professionals who enjoy hands-on application support, system administration, and collaboration with finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Support and manage finance-related IT applications in daily operations (e.g., ERP, reporting, spend management systems)
Ensure stable and reliable system performance, availability, and data integrity
Administer, maintain, and optimize applications for efficient and user-friendly processes
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system incidents and user issues, providing first-level support
Act as a key contact for Finance stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and quick resolution of requests
Support integrations and collaborate with IT teams to maintain functional system connectivity
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for issue resolution, updates, and improvements
Implement and monitor system updates, configurations, and patches
Contribute to maintaining compliance with financial and IT security standards
Support ongoing improvements and small enhancements of finance applications and processes
Guide and train end users for confident and effective system usage

Requirements

Degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, IT, or a comparable field
5+ years of experience in IT application management or application support, ideally in a finance-related environment
Strong understanding of finance processes (e.g., accounting, controlling, reporting)
Hands-on experience with finance tools such as Kendox, Yokoy, TravelPerk, or LucaNet is a plus
Solid understanding of IT service management principles (e.g., ITIL) and support processes
Experience working with external vendors and service providers
Strong problem-solving skills
Structured, reliable, and hands-on working style
Excellent communication skills and ability to work at the interface between business and IT
Fluent in English
Fluent in German
