Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned tasks efficiently under Project Foreperson's direction.
  • Read and interpret blueprint drawings, shop drawings, and project specifications.
  • Analyze and interpret construction and schematic drawings, technical documentation, and equipment specifications.
  • Adhere to and uphold safety protocols to ensure employee safety.
  • Perform additional duties as required under Project Foreperson's direction.
  • Mentor and train apprentices.

Requirements

  • Previous experience installing sheet metal in commercial, industrial, institutional, or healthcare projects.
  • Red Seal trade qualification.
  • Ability to work at heights with completed safety training.
  • Safety-conscious individual adhering to all on-site safety measures.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Positive and professional attitude.
  • Previous sheet metal experience in ICI or large-scale projects.
  • Local 30 membership or member in good standing.

Skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Print reading.
  • Strong understanding of schematic and isometric drawings.
  • Mechanical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to mentor and aid junior apprentice development.

Education Level

  • Red Seal trade qualification

Salary/Compensations

  • Hourly rate: $49.58
