About the Role

This strategic, high-impact role seeks an experienced Accountant and Accounting Technology Leader to shape Dext's position in the North American market. The role involves acting as the voice of the accounting industry internally, guiding product direction, influencing go-to-market strategies, and ensuring Dext's innovation leadership. The ideal candidate will leverage deep regional expertise in accounting practices, legislation, and technology trends to drive alignment across product, sales, and marketing teams.

Responsibilities

Act as Dext's North American accounting and industry expert, applying deep knowledge of practices, technology, and regulation.
Influence product strategy and positioning by translating market trends, customer needs, and regulatory changes into actionable insights.
Represent Dext externally through industry events, advisory boards, and thought leadership.
Support Sales, Marketing, and Product teams in articulating the value of Dext solutions to accountants and bookkeepers.
Gather and communicate customer feedback and market requirements to shape future product development.
Collaborate cross-functionally to drive go-to-market initiatives and ensure product alignment with regional needs.
Build strong relationships with partners and third-party providers to support integrations and ecosystem growth.

Requirements

Strong accounting background with experience in an accounting practice.
Recognized cloud accounting expert with deep understanding of accounting workflows and technology ecosystems.
Ability to translate market insights and customer needs into product opportunities.
Confident communicator experienced in delivering presentations, demos, and external representation.
Passion for accounting technology and its evolving role in the profession.
Strong knowledge of leading accounting software (e.g., Dext, QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).
Collaborative, curious, and commercially minded, with a drive to share knowledge and influence others.
Experience building relationships with North American tax authorities, regulators, or industry bodies (plus).
