About the Role
This role supports the development and execution of strategic marketing and communications initiatives. It strengthens brand presence, supports business development, and communicates company capabilities, values, and project successes to clients, partners, employees, and the industry. The position serves as the primary marketing lead, combining strategic planning with hands-on execution. Ideal candidates have experience in construction, engineering, or professional services marketing, thrive in fast-paced environments, and collaborate with executive leadership, operations, and business development teams.
Responsibilities
- Support the MarCom team in implementing marketing strategy goals to advance brand visibility.
- Lead the creation and development of marketing materials including one-sheets, decks, and playbooks.
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure consistent messaging, brand alignment, and effective marketing strategies.
- Maintain marketing plans to meet business goals.
- Maintain marketing data and generate reports for leadership decision-making.
- Manage external vendors, consultants, designers, and photographers.
- Maintain and evolve brand identity, messaging, and visual standards.
- Ensure consistent brand representation across all marketing and communications materials.
- Develop and refine value propositions and messaging aligned with target markets and clients.
- Oversee internal and external communications, including all-employee meetings, company announcements, press releases, and executive messaging.
- Develop content highlighting project wins, milestones, safety performance, innovation, and company culture.
- Coordinate messaging supporting corporate initiatives, market positioning, and business objectives.
- Lead presentation development for all-employee meetings and internal communications.
- Lead presentation development for executive leadership presentations.
- Lead presentation development for investor-facing presentations and corporate overviews.
- Lead presentation development for client-facing and business development presentations.
- Lead presentation development for industry conferences, panels, and speaking engagements.
- Ensure presentations are clear, compelling, on-brand, and tailored to the audience.
- Partner with executives, business development, and operations teams to translate complex information into effective visual and narrative presentations.
- Maintain and optimize the company website, ensuring timely updates to branding and organizational content.
- Oversee social media strategy, content planning, posting, and engagement.
- Track and analyze digital performance metrics and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate media relations, trade publication content, and award submissions.
- Support participation in industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Implement public relations and social media strategies for real-time content publication, including announcements, awards, events, and crisis.
- Assist with preparation of investor-facing materials, including earnings presentations, fact sheets, corporate overviews, and website content.
- Strengthen company visibility and reputation within heavy civil and infrastructure markets.
Requirements
- 6 years of relevant marketing and/or communications experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and experience.
- Strong background in digital marketing, social media, and integrated online campaigns.
- Deep understanding of B2B social strategy, especially on LinkedIn.
- Strong operational skills with experience building and managing foundational infrastructure like campaign calendars, planning processes, and repeatable workflows.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment and adhere to evolving deadlines.
- Motivated, entrepreneurial spirit, ability to work independently, and skilled at building strong internal relationships and consensus.
- Experience in heavy civil, infrastructure, transportation, or engineering/construction environments (Preferred).
- Strong project management skills and experience (Preferred).
- Experience developing complex and strategic communications for large audiences (Preferred).
- Familiarity with public-sector procurement and alternative delivery pursuits (CMAR, Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build) (Preferred).
- Experience with CRM systems, digital asset management tools, or proposal management software (Preferred).
- Experience managing websites, social media platforms, and digital analytics (Preferred).
