About the Role
This high-impact role focuses on developing and expanding critical relationships within the Financial Services Strategics sector. The Account Manager collaborates with account executives and customer success managers to ensure client success and expand AlphaSense's footprint. Operating as a trusted advisor, the role engages stakeholders from daily users to senior executives within sophisticated investment banks, asset managers, and hedge funds. Success is measured by protecting and expanding revenue, with targets tied to Gross Dollar Retention (GDR) and Net Dollar Retention (NDR). The role also involves bringing client insights back to product, marketing, and sales to influence company strategy and execution.
Responsibilities
- Own renewals end-to-end, including strategy, forecasting, timing, and execution.
- Identify risk early and drive mitigation plans with internal partners.
- Maintain accurate forecasts, disciplined account plans, and clear next steps.
- Identify and drive expansion opportunities by building conviction around value and outcomes.
- Partner with Account Executives to execute upsell motions within existing clients through pipeline sourcing.
- Increase adoption by aligning AlphaSense to client workflows and priorities.
- Ensure AlphaSense delivers sustained value throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Lead focused, outcome-driven executive conversations and business reviews.
- Build multi-threaded relationships across users, decision-makers, and sponsors.
- Collaborate quickly and stay aligned across Sales, Customer Success, Product, RevOps, and Support.
- Maintain high standards for CRM hygiene, forecasting accuracy, and follow-through.
- Prioritize relentlessly across a demanding book of business.
Requirements
- Ability to build strategic relationships and multi-thread across complex organizations, from daily users to C-suite executives.
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in account management, including internal and external relationship management.
